Field Monitor (x4) – WFP Urban Resilience Project
Location – Harare, Kwekwe, Chipinge and Chiredzi
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Field Monitor is responsible for supporting communities in identifying and registering project beneficiaries according to set criteria and procedures, distributing NFIs to registered beneficiaries in an orderly and controlled manner, ensuring that each beneficiary gets correct quantities of NFIs and signs in the appropriate register. The incumbent will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of project progress, compile and submit weekly and monthly reports.
Accountabilities:
Mobilise and create awareness among local leaders and communities on the Urban Resilience activities.
Assist communities in identifying, registering and verifying project beneficiaries according to set criteria and procedures.
Facilitate formation and training of Project Implementing Team (PIT).
Carry out public address covering topics such as women participation, HIV and AIDS, zero tolerance to politic at project sites.
Monitor implementation of work norms and project activities in the communities.
Ensure that a Help Desk is maintained at every identified site to attend to complaints and keeps records of all complaints received.
Keep proper, complete and accurate record of NFIs and beneficiaries attendance for trainings and activities implementation.
Submit accurate and complete daily and monthly reports on activities progress timely.
Network with other stakeholders, e.g. local leaders, Government departments and other NGOs in the area to synchronize activities.
Maintain a proper, complete and accurate log book for motorbike and fuel usage in accordance with Plan policy and procedures.
Report all incidents and concerns on child abuse (using Plan Child Protection Issue Reporting Form 1 – Initial Report).
Promotes and abides by Plan policies and procedures including but not limited to: Gender equality mainstreaming, Safeguarding Policy; Code of Conduct and the related mandatory reporting responsibilities.

Knowledge:
A degree in a development related discipline, e.g. rural development, Health, A degree/diploma in a development related discipline, e.g. agriculture, Health, Nutrition, education, rural development, etc
Minimum of 3 years extensive experience in development work at grassroots level
Experience in emergency/relief programs will be an added advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Computer literacy in Excel and Word
Must hold a valid class 3 or 4 licence and should express interest to use a motor cycle
Ability to work with teams, communicate and coordinate with government departments and other agencies at various levels.
